What is CBG

CBG (short for cannabigerol) is the precursor to THC and CBD. It is a more powerful cannabinoid, that has been extremely rare in any consumer products due to the cost and rarity of this compound. We have worked to bring large doses of CBG to our customers at an amazing value.

Is CBG legal?

Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, CBG products derived from hemp are legal, as long as they meet contain less than 0.3% THC when measured in a lab. Our product meets this requirement, therefore qiwis are legal in almost all states! The only states that prohibit the sale of CBG are as follows: Idaho, Iowa, and South Dakota. We will not be able to ship to these states.

What are the current expected medicinal benefits from CBG?

While we cannot make any medical claims, there are many success stories with CBG and it's potential uses. The best way to find out is to try for yourself!

How does CBG work in the body?

All cannabinoids, including CBG, produce effects in the body by attaching to certain receptors.

Cannabigerol, or CBG, is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid typically most abundant in low-THC and high-CBG cannabis strains, including hemp.

Like THC, CBG reacts with the cannabinoid receptors in the brain. CBG, however, acts as a buffer to the psychoactivity of THC by working to alleviate the paranoia sometimes caused by higher levels of THC.

Can CBG or qiwis get me high?

CBG is not psychoactive, meaning you cannot get high from CBG or CBG products. Lower quality products have questionable purity, and while they still should contain very low amounts of THC, they can have a mild psychoactive effect and cause individuals to fail drug tests. We make sure our qiwis contain close to no THC at all, so you can use them in any scenario without concerns of becoming "high".

Can CBG cause me to fail a drug test?

In order to be legally sold in the United States, products derived from hemp flower must contain less than 0.3% THC. We make sure our product meets those standards, and are happy to state that we have absurdly low levels of THC in our CBG batch! (0.01%). We do not know how many qiwis it would take to test positive for THC, and are focused on keeping the levels as low as possible. THC can build up in the body, however, so it would be best to exercise caution.

Lower quality products may have questionable purity, so it is best to err on the side of caution and only order CBG products from reputable sellers.

Are there any side effects to using CBG?

CBG has only been shown to have very mild side effects in tincture/oil form that usually stem from the oil solution used. CBG from smokable items has not been shown to have any side effects. As more research is done, this FAQ will be updated to reflect any new information that is discovered.

Are there any studies on CBG?

Many scientific studies have been carried out specifically on CBG, and are quite easy to find!
